Meet our Instructors

Tammy Bell Owner/Director All subjects

Miss Bridgette (Assistant Director) All Disciplines

                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Miss Tammy started dancing and tumbling at the age of three at Beutell School of Dance. InstructionTammy & Bridgette Bell was under the Direction of Miss Norma Vansickle and Miss Sylvia Granneman. She trained there in Cecchetti method Ballet, in Aerial Acrobatics and power Tumbling. She also trained in partnering with Frankie Freeman and Chinese Acrobat Weng Xiao Hong, and learned circus acrobatics from Josh Routh of Circus Kaput. She taught classes for the St. Louis Arches Circus acrobatic group from the City Museum and for The Center of Contemporary Arts (Coca) Fine Arts after school Circus/Tumbling program at Jefferson Grade School. She was the co-creator of the dance program for the City of Maryland Heights Parks and Recreation, and started the Tumbling program for Steps Unlimited. Her teaching experience is extensive, she taught for 15 years at 5678 Dance Express, and at Bridget James School of Dance. Over the years, she worked with the Rose Acres Elementary School Tumbling Team with Janet Fortune, and was the JV Cheer Coach at Pattonville High School in 2001. She has certifications with NCA and UCA Cheer, and was the director and choreographer for the Dance Lines of St. Louis Show Me Believers semiprofessional indoor football team. She has trained with some nationally recognized instructors from the Dance Educators of America at Joel Hall in Chicago, at Dupree, and Dance Explosion. She has choreographed for competitive dance teams at the Regional and National levels. Her many skills landed her a part as an extra in the George Clooney movie “Up in the Air”. She is now the Owner and Director of Tammy’s Tumbling and Dance Center LLC and Midwest Tumbling Meet.


Miss Kayla Preschool Tap, Ballet & Beginning-Intermediate Dance

-9Miss Kayla has been teaching dance to young children for 11 years. She has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Webster University. She started teaching at Tammy’s Tumbling and Dance Center in 2001 and left in 2009. She returned to TTDC in 2012. Kayla was a teacher assistant at 5678 dance express, where she also trained in dance.




Miss Andrea Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz & Tap

-2Andrea took her first dance class at the age of 5 and it was love at first step. Over the past 28 years she has studied the art of tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, character, modern, lyrical and contemporary. In her years of training, she has been lucky to study under some of the biggest names in the industry today, such as Tyce Diorio (Judge & Choreographer of So You Think You Can Dance) and Marguerite Derricks (Choreographer of the 2009 movie “FAME” and the T.V. show “Bunheads.”) She is fortunate to have made a career out of her passion and has been working as a professional dancer/singer, as well as dance instructor and choreographer for the past 20 years. This job has offered many exciting opportunities and taken her all over the country, and across the world. Some highlights of her career include performing in shows at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, The Empire Theatre at Six Flags St. Louis, The Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, The Lotte Theatre in Pusan, South Korea, Choreographer/Dancer for St. Louis Steamer’s Soccer Steam Heat Dancers, Harrah’s St. Louis, Kansas City and San Diego. She is committed to her craft and committed to passing on her passion and knowledge to her students.

Miss Lora Poms & Hip Hop

Lora Monroe was a dancer, featured dancer, and magician’s assistant at Harrah’s Casino for 4 yrs for Dancin’ to the Hitz and iCandy Inc and has performed at The Rio in Las Vegas.  She was a Casino Showgirl for 4 years, participating in televised events, simulcasts, and Casino posters.  Lora was a dancer and cheerleader for the St. Louis Steamers, St. Louis Believers, and River City Renegades.  She trained with Monica Newsman for Aerial, L Frost for Hip Hop, Lois Marshall for Belly Dancing, and Renee DelGadillo for Salsa, and has many years of studio training.  Lora is currently teaching and doing choreography for competitive groups at TTDC and has won several choreography awards including The Story Teller Award and High Score Line at various dance competitions.


Miss Annie Hip Hop & Aerial Arts

Miss Annie has been dancing since she was three years old. She start teaching dance in 2000 and in 2005 she received her Bachelor’ Degree in dance. Miss Annie has danced in various shows and has traveled to several cities following her dreams of dancing.  Along with teaching dance, Miss Annie currently is continuing to study aerial arts and is very excited to share what she learns with her students.
